Description

Error Message

From the NIC agent logs available at %VCS_HOME%logs, following error would be logged at the time of NIC resource failure

VCS WARNING V-16-10051-3518 NIC:NIC_Resource_Name:monitor:MacAddress (00-xx-xx-xx-0x-1x) is syntactically valid. The adapter is either disabled or disconnected. Reporting offline

Cause

System Event logs would likely show that at the time of the failure, the VMware Tools service being installed and vnetWFP.sys being installed as a part of it. This causes the NIC at the VM level to become inaccessible, thus causing the NIC resource to fault in VCS.
