vxcpserv: Error writing to database! :database is locked

Cause

The database is locked due to the amount of operations the CP Server needs to perform whenever it receives status updates from client nodes. It can happen when a large amount of client nodes are registered to the CP server. It can also happen when all the nodes send fencing updates at the same time, regardless of the amount of client nodes registered.

Resolution

Hotfix cps-rhel7_x86_64-HotFix-7.4.1.3101.tar.gz was released to fix this issue. Please open a support case to have this hotfix delivered to you.

Issue/Introduction

CP Server nodes reporting "vxcpserv: Error writing to database! :database is locked" and possibly causing vxfen service groups to fail on client nodes.
