Error Message

The EMC LUNs do not get listed in the Disks Tree in VEA although they are seen as Muli-Path Disk Device in the Disk Drives tree of the OS Device Manager (devmgmt.msc)

Messages similar to the following may be present in the vxisis.log under \Program Files\Veritas\VERITAS Object Bus\logs:

Cause

This issue occurs due to a change in the Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM) disk initialization process in InfoScale 8.0 as compared to that in InfoScale 7.x
