Description

Error Message

CPI ERROR V-9-0-0 No pkg object defined for pkg VRTSpython35 and padv Sol11sparc

Cause

This error is due to a requirement in the 7.4.1.2300 installation script for a Python package in CPI patch 7.4.1.3400. This Python package ultimately replaces the Java package in InfoScale (see footnote in this technical article under the section titled "Permanent Fix for Veritas InfoScale Licensing Service")

Resolution

Due to the requirement mentioned above, installation of that patch must be performed concurrently with CPI patch 7.4.1.3400, which may be downloaded here. Once that has been downloaded and placed on the server for installation, perform the following steps to install both patches:

  1. Copy the hot-fix CPI_7.4.1_P34.pl to /tmp.
  2. Run installation script for patch 7.4.1.2300 with the CPI patch perl script specified in the command. For example:

./installVRTSinfoscale741P2300 -require /tmp/CPI_7.4.1_P34.pl
