"Not Registered" on Dashboard

"The host is neither registered with a licensed VIOM Management Server, nor with VERITAS Usage Insights." in the "View Details" report

Cause

This issue can take place after applying the CMS license in VIOM 8.0. The hosts need to be refreshed to pickup the new licensing

Resolution

Refresh the hosts after adding the CMS license.

Instructions for Manual Refresh:

  1. Login to VIOM
  2. Click gear icon in the top right (Settings)
  3. Click "Host"
  4. Select all servers by clicking on the first host and Shift+Click the last host
    • Can also be done only on specific server by using CTRL+Click
  5. Right-click on the highlighted hosts and select "Refresh"
  6. Follow the prompts
  7. Wait for the "Refresh host" tasks to complete in the "Recent Tasks" section at the bottom of the screen
  8. Verify that the hosts are registered by going back to the Dashboard (click the Home icon in the top right)

Issue/Introduction

In Veritas InfoScale Operations Manager (VIOM) 8.0, nodes are being reported as "Not Registered" on the Dashboard. Clicking "View details" will generate a report with more precise messages related to each host.
