The Hitachi SI svol configured devices are shown in "bold" below, however, DMP does not report the "svol" DMP extended attribute.
The Hitachi SI pvol devices are shown by DMP.
The DMP extended attribute "tc-svol" refers to a Hitachi ShadowImage (SI) "svol" hardware clone image (mirror) of Hitachi TrueCopy (TC) LUN.

Cause
Veritas Engineering worked with Hitachi Engineering to determine the correct SCSI Byte values to detect Hitachi ShadowImage (SI) devices correctly.
This required an update to the VRTSaslapm package for Hitachi SI devices.
Resolution
Veritas Engineering have fixed the Hitach ShadowImage (SI) svol reporting aspects for InfoScale 7.4.2 and 8.0.x on Linux & Solaris at this time.
A hotfix is now available for this issue in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned, hosted on https://downloads.infoscale.com.

Issue/Introduction
Veritas Dynamic Multi-pathing (DMP) is not reporting DMP extended "svol" attribute for Hitachi ShadowImage (SI) devices.
The "vxdisk -e list" command fails to report "svol" attribute. # vxdisk -e list
Hitachi ShadowImage (SI) enables data to be mirrored between Primary Volume (pvol) to Secondary Volume (svol) pairs using the same physical Hitachi enclosure (array).
SI (svol) pairs can also be configured on Hitachi TrueCopy (TC) using hardware replicated devices across different Hitachi enclosures.
