When upgrading your OS on an existing install of InfoScale or doing a fresh install of InfoScale, it is important to verify what Kernel/SRU/TL is supported and what additional patches are needed. Without the additional patches, the system/InfoScale could have issues or impaired functionality. The Kernel/SRU/TL lookup on SORT can assist with finding this information.
Note about required patches: The Kernel/SRU/TL page only shows the minimum patch required for that version. It does not show newer patches that have been released. You can review the latest patches at the Veritas Download Center. It is recommended to select your product type and version at the top, click Updates, followed by using the "Search updates" field to filter for OS version, such as RHEL7 or RHEL8, to identify OS and InfoScale specific patches.
Note about recommended CPI patch: In addition to the required patches, Veritas always recommends using the CPI patch to install InfoScale. The CPI patch modifies the behavior of the installer for known issues and doesn't install patches itself. You can find the latest CPI patch by going to the Veritas Download Center, selecting your product and version at the top, clicking Updates, and then using the "Search Updates" field to search for CPI. CPI patches are not OS specific, but they are InfoScale version specific.
