The VRTSvxvm package has some embedded checks, which can cause the uninstall to fail

If the intention is to uninstall all packages, the --noscripts option can be used to disable the embedded checks and allow the uninstall to proceed:
# rpm -e --nodeps VRTSvxvm
{C}%3C!%2D%2Dstartindex%2D%2D%3EThere are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in earlier versions of the software at the present time. However, the issue has been addressed in the revision of the product specified at the end of this article.
