Description

When launching the VEA (Veritas Enterprise Administrator) Console, it always prompts with a ‘Select Profile’. screen.

The popup screen would appear as below

This is not a feature used by most customers and it adds an extra ‘click’ each time, the VEA console is launched. This screen can be avoided, allowing VEA to launch much faster.

Below steps can be performed to avoid this screen:

1) When prompted to select a Profile select the ‘Manage Profiles…” button:

2) Next, select the ‘Start VEA using profile’ drop-down and choose the ‘Default’ option:

Now, VEA will no longer prompt to select a profile on every login attempt.

Note: The above setting can be reverted at any time using below steps

1) Within the VEA console, select the Tools  > Manage Profiles...

2) In the ‘Start VEA using profile’, select ‘Prompt for a profile’.

Now, VEA will prompt to select a profile at every login attempt.
