Description

Description

While configuring VVR on already existing volumes and file systems which have application data, there is a possibility of data corruption on the VVR secondary. Replication does not perform automatic synchronization and hence causes data corruption on the VVR secondary.

This is observed on VIOM 8.0.2 and subsequent patches.

Versions affected:

VIOM 8.0.2 GA

VIOM 8.0.2.100

VIOM 8.0.2.110

VIOM 8.0.2.200

Action Required

Configure VVR using the command line interface until Veritas releases a patch to fix the issue.

Fix:

Veritas will release a fix in VIOM patch 8.0.2.300, slated for end of October, 2023. Apply the patch to resume VVR configuring using the VIOM Management Server console.
