Error Message
VCS INFO V-16-2-13716 Thread(6) Resource(resource_name): Output of the completed operation (online)
==============================================
Setting environment for domain
ksh: /tmp/: cannot create [Permission denied]
==============================================
Cause
The StartProgram script is unable to execute from the specified path due to a permissions issue.
Resolution
To resolve the issue:
- Between the working and the non-working servers, check and compare the permissions of the directory reported in the error.
- Test a sample script (test script) and try to execute it on the non-working node from that directory and verify if it is able to execute successfully.
- If that fails, then match the file permissions, owner and group for it with the working node and then attempt a failover.
Issue/Introduction
A resource group containing a StartProgram script fails to come online on the second node while attempting a failover in Veritas Cluster Server (VCS)
