Error Message

There is no error, as such - just that the log files do not automatically rotate at the one megabyte mark and end up growing very large, e.g.

-rw-r----- 1 root root 89.2M Jan 25 13:39:55 2024 mh.log

An issue within one of the VIOM Perl modules has been corrected to ensure that log rotation takes place correctly

The issue is fixed in VIOM 8.0.2.400. This can be downloaded via the VIOM Management Server or here:

There are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in earlier versions of the software at the present time.  However, the issue has been addressed in the revision of the product specified at the end of this article.
