Description

Installer -stop must be followed by installer -start.

We routinely use installer -stop followed by a reboot, anticipating the Veritas services to start automatically. This is old behavior. Beginning with InfoScale 8.0, the installer script behavior has changed. Following a reboot, we should start them with installer -start. Otherwise, Veritas services will not start.

This behavior change done to integrate YUM support in InfoScale 8.0. The modifications were made such that RPMs do not start the services, but the installer does after configuring the product.

In older versions (Prior to 8.0), the installer -stop followed by a reboot will restart the services.
