The issue (erroneous permissions added to vxcps.conf) is due to an issue in the Common Product Installer (CPI) patch that was used in the upgrade.
A hotfix is now available for this issue in the current version(s) of the product(s) mentioned.
Veritas have released InfoScale 8.0.2 CPI P5 Patch (cpi-Patch-8.0.2.500) for this issue.
