VxVM vxencrypt ERROR V-5-1-20484 Rlink is not encrypted!
Cause
When vxdg upgrade is executed, the encryption keys need to be regenerated if encrypted Rlinks are present in VxVM configuration. Key regeneration code was called even if Rlinks aren't encrypted, which results in the error.
Resolution
Necessary code changes have been made to invoke encryption key regeneration for RLinks only if it is encrypted. The fix is available for RHEL8 and RHEL9 in the cumulative patch, IS 8.0.2 Update 3. These are linked below in the "Related downloads" section.
Issue/Introduction
When performing a disk group upgrade an error can be returned stating that "Rlink is not encrypted" when encryption wasn't setup in VVR. The disk group upgrade will still complete successfully but the error shouldn't have been returned. This has been seen when performing the post upgrade tasks after upgrading to InfoScale 8.0.2.
