SAPHDB agents faulting after VRTSsap upgrade

Error Message

/var/VRTSvcs/log/SAPHDB_A.log:
Can't use an undefined value as an ARRAY reference at /opt/VRTSagents/ha/bin/SAPHDB/monitor line 241.

Cause

The new SAPHDBTypes.cf file is not copied into the /etc/VRTSvcs/conf/config/ directory to reference the new ARRAY reference: InstancesToStop

Resolution

  1. Stop VCS on all nodes: hastop -all
  2. Backup the original /etc/VRTSvcs/conf/config/SAPHDBTypes.cf if it exists
  3. Copy the new /etc/VRTSagents/ha/conf/SAPHDB/SAPHDBTypes.cf file to /etc/VRTSvcs/conf/config/SAPHDBTypes.cf, overwriting the file
  4. Start VCS on each node: hastart

After updating the VRTSsapnw agent package to the VRTSsap agent package, the SAPHDB resources fault
