Cause

The default installer package Veritas_Infoscale_7.4.1_Windows.zip/Veritas_Infoscale_7.4.1_Windows.iso contains support for OS versions lower than 2019.  

Support for Windows Server 2019 was introduced via a separate 7.4.1 installer.

Resolution

To obtain support for Windows Server 2019, ensure to download either Veritas_InfoScale_7.4.1_Windows_2019.iso or Veritas_InfoScale_7.4.1_Windows_2019.zip installer package from InfoScale Enterprise 7.4.1 - Base and Upgrade installers

Launching the setup.exe from either of the mentioned installer packages will provide the below highlighted information: Supports only Windows Server 2019 Editions

Issue/Introduction

As per Page 3 of Veritas InfoScale™ 7.4.1 for Windows Software Compatibility List , Infoscale 7.4.1 supports Windows Server 2019 (Datacenter and Standard Editions). However, attempting to install Infoscale 7.4.1 on either editions of Windows Server 2019 fails at the OS validation page with error: Unknown Operating System
