What Customers Should Do

Customers using version 7.4.1 or prior should investigate if their cluster is running Non-Secure Mode (SecureClus=0). If so, customers should either

  • Upgrade to a version >= 7.4.2, or 
  • Change the cluster configuration to Secure Mode (SecureClus=1)

Description of Problem

A known vulnerability is present in InfoScale Command Server versions 7.4.1 and prior due to the Command Server (CmdServer) being optionally configurable in an insecure mode.  The Secure mode of the InfoScale Command Server has been available as the default since version 7.4.2 (May 2021).  Customers should be aware of the risk associated with configuring the insecure mode, and use the secure mode or implement appropriate mitigation measures.

Affected Versions:

The following supported versions of InfoScale Command Server are affected by the vulnerabilities: 

  • 7.4.1, 7.4, 7.3.1, 7.3, 7.2, 7.1, 7.0.1, 7.0. 

Earlier unsupported versions may be affected as well.
